1. Volume eat: Vegetables are high in volume while providing very few calories. Just as drinking a glass of water before each meal can help you stay full, eating foods high in water content (like vegetables) can also help with keeping you full.

2. Drink enough water: Thirst is often confused with hunger, so when you think you’re hungry, have a glass of water. Are you still hungry?

3. Eat slower and mindfully. While you’re eating, focus on eating. Do not distract yourself with TV or your phone. Practicing mindful eating can help you learn to be aware of your body’s physical hunger and satiety cues so that you can respond to them more effectively.

4. Space out your meals evenly. Is there a particular time of the day you find yourself hungry? Is there a way to schedule a snack for that time? Try to evenly space your meals so that there are no extended periods of hunger.
